JESUS!

I LOVE JESUS. He is what brings me joy and makes my heart to SOAR. I like thinking about Him and talking about Him. This journey has been a long road and often lonely. In a dream one night I received a card with an invitation to "walk with God." Shortly thereafter I received another invitation to attend a gathering of Christian women that were coming together to worship Jesus for a weekend in Colorado. It was so outside of my comfort zone. Though I served a mission in Tokyo 20 years ago, I have never been around English speaking non-members.

I felt strongly to go. Can you imagine? Of 400 women I was the only Latter-day Saint. I was overcome each day with the POWER and LOVE these Christian women had for Jesus Christ. All were from different 'churches' yet we all spoke the same language. JESUS. Four days of Jesus Christ. It was overwhelming. I would often look around the room and wonder how there could be fire consuming my soul outside of a an LDS environment? "We are the only ones with full access to the Holy Ghost" is what I had believed.

I can't describe what it was like. But I want to give you a taste. Imagine you are in a very small auditorium PACKED with people who LOVE JESUS and are all singing without shame. Without embarrassment. Singing at the top of their lungs to music about Him. I have never experienced praise and adoration in this way. I will link two songs below. They are repetitive because you are praising! As you listen to them, imagine singing at the top of your lungs with no shame or embarrassment at your passion for Christ! And if you are brave enough, literally get on your feet and lift your arms to the heavens and sing to HIM. It takes true humility to praise the Lord in this way. It is very childlike. It's easy to stand on the sidelines of a sporting event and cheer and shout repetitive phrases. But for Jesus? Sing? Cheer? Can you do it?! Invite your children to join you. Imagine...
